Grand View Summit (Bedford Co.)
- COORDINATES: Located along U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) just west of Schellsburg
- COUNTY: Bedford
- EXPLANATION OF NAME: Grand View Summit (spot where 7 counties in 3 states can be seen.)
- MANUFACTURER: Likely manufactured by the PA Dept of Highways
- SHAPE: Large Post Mounted Keystone typical of those found at summits of PA ridges.
- STATUS: Long gone. This was the site of the famous "Ship Hotel", a tourist attraction for decades. 2nd photo, from the circa 1950 R.C. Heagey collection show a different sign probably at a different crossing of this ridge. Note the difference in elevation between the two signs.
