The state-operated fish hatchery located in Reynoldsdale was opened in 1928. Like other state institutions, including nurseries and state colleges, the hatchery was given a top-mounted keystone marker with the name of the institution on both sides. Today, this marker is found inside the hatchery, suspended from the ceiling.
