- EXPLANATION OF NAME: Chestnut Spring In Memoriam Workers At Mont Alto Furnace
One Half Mile West 1807-1893 Waynesboro Motor Club 1929
- MANUFACTURER: Undetermined
- STATUS: This is not an iron Keystone, but rather a granite stone whose message is inscribed inside the Keystone pattern used for the cast iron markers. It was placed in 1929 by the Waynesboro Motor Club as part of a nicely rebuilt masonry surround of an early spring that undoubtedly served the workers at that nearby iron-producing operation.
