- EXPLANATION OF NAME: Named For Surrounding Groves of Locust Trees. Note: No actual town still exists, but it must have in the 1920s when these markers were first erected.
- FOUNDED: 1860
- MANUFACTURER: No maker of these double sided markers has ever been determined.
- SHAPE: This marker is unusual in that it is double-sided on a top-mount post such as were used for double-sided stream signs. Their use as town-name markers is unique to Indiana County.
- STATUS: This marker has been relocated to a private yard. KMT is attempting to contact the property owner to reclaim it.
- COORDINATES: 40.856453, -78.792533 are general coordinates of the former town.
