COORDINATES: 40.684014, -76.828058
COUNTY: Northumberland
DISTANCE TO NEXT: Pillow - 3
EXPLANATION OF NAME: Named for Indian Girl who lived where the town is now located
FOUNDED: 1880
MANUFACTURER: None
SHAPE: Standard 1-sided
STATUS: Sign refurbished and repainted by Jim Carn, June 2015. A gentleman across the road appeared and said the Hurricane Ivan flood waters in September 2011 made a roaring river out of the now trickling creek and the water came up over 2' across the roadway. It washed the sign and concrete ball that surrounded it away and it was found down over the embankment in a pile of debris when the water subsided. He managed to drag the sign, post and still attached ball back up and position it where it was.
