EXPLANATION OF NAME: Named By Former Residents of County Seat of Lebanon County
FOUNDED: 1839
MANUFACTURER: No manufacturer of these double-sided markers has been determined.
SHAPE: Standard double-sided more commonly found on Stream name markers.
STATUS: These top-mounted double-sided "town" markers appear to be unique to Indiana County. This one was stolen several years ago and only the empty post remained. Marker was found for sale in Dec. 2018 in a Bucks County PA antique shop.. It has been restored by KMT and was installed in Oct. 2019. Also note the atypical former paint scheme. Property owner where marker was originally located had saved the post and had reinstalled it at a PennDot approved location.
