This is a “Variant” marker used to note a historic site. Marker was placed by the Chester Co. Historical Society 1909. Text: Beside The Stream Below By The Indians Called Wawassan Is “Indian Rock” Whence Ran The Claim Of The Lenni-Lenape To The Source of The Brandywine.
