Stargazer Stone

Embreeville PA Rt 162 at Stargazer Rd
Newlin Township, PA

This is a “variant” marker, used to note this nearby historically significant stone, used in the surveying of the Mason-Dixon line.  It was placed by the Chester County Historical Society.

Note:  1909 is the date that the bronze plaque marked the stone, not the date of this cast iron marker.

Visit  www.mdlpp.org for lots of information about the Mason-Dixon line, the southern boundary of Pennsylvania.
