FOUNDED: Marker has 1926 date on it
STATUS: The exact location of this unique marker is unknown. It is known only from a photograph in an old Highways Department booklet. Similar markers may well have been in other north-central PA counties as most of them provided "Bucktail" regiments of troops for the Civil War. These soldiers wore a deer tail on their caps, thus the "Bucktails".
