Rays Hill Summit (Fulton Co.)


  • COORDINATES: Specific location undetermined. Rays Hill summit on the old Lincoln Highway (U.S. Route 30) is just east of Breezewood.
  • COUNTY: Bedford / Fulton County Line
  • EXPLANATION OF NAME: These large keystones were wooden, not iron, and marked the highest points along the major cross-state highways.
  • MANUFACTURER: Undetermined.
  • STATUS: Known only from the photo below, but these were a fixture of almost all the ridge summits across the state.
