This is one of a very few “Keystone Markers” that denotes an event in history rather than a town name or
stream name. First erected by the Highways Dept. in cooperation with the DAR – Daughters of the American Revolution – the broken marker was found by KMT in a PennDot storage shed in 2013. Repaired, repainted and
reinstalled, it was again broken by an errant driver along PA Route 34. Repaired yet again by KMT, this unique
marker is once again on the roadsign.
